BennettJames (Jim) Bennett

President
Jim is the current Chairman and President of the PNBAA. He currently serves as Director of Aviation for Seattle based Starbucks Coffee Company.

Jim’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2010.

Jim joined the coffee company in 2002 and the firm operating a Gulfstream V, and Bombardier CL604 in extensive international operations. Prior to joining Starbucks, he spent 10 years with Aviation Methods (TAG Aviation) and 8 years with Hartford based CIGNA Corporation, 25+ years in leadership roles. He continues to fly regular line flights for the coffee company. He is type rated in the SA-227, IA-Jet, CL600, CL604, DA-50, G-159, G-IV, GV, B757, B767 logging 17,000+ accident / incident free hours. Jim attended Syracuse University and has earned a B.S. in Business.

Jim has worked on the Bombardier Global Express Advisory Board during development and on the King County Airport Roundtable. He currently serves on the Board of the WA State Aviation Coalition, Washington State Airport Advisory Board and on the PNBAA’s Airport Access sub-committee.


WilsonDouglas Wilson

Vice President
Douglas Wilson serves as the Vice President and Treasurer for PNBAA. In these two roles, Doug assists the President in the day-to-day operations of PNBAA, and is responsible for all financial aspects of the organization, respectively. In addition, Doug is the co-chair of the Annual PNBAA Safety Event.

Doug’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2012.

Doug is currently the Director of Business Development and Marketing for Galvin Flying Services, Inc. at Boeing Field (BFI).

Prior to joining Galvin in 2006, Doug served with Signature Flight Support in various roles, including Customer Relations Manager (DCA), Operations Manager (MKE), and Corporate Training Manager (HQ), where was responsible for the development and implementation of US and European training curriculum, including management development, customer service and line operations for all Signature locations. Prior to joining Signature, Doug worked at a small airport in Williamsburg, VA (JGG) for six years.

Doug holds a B.S in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University, is a pilot of more than 16 years, with fixed-wing land and sea, glider and helicopter ratings, and is a contributing writer for Professional Pilot Magazine.


LehmanDavid G. Lehman

Secretary
David is the Secretary for the PNBAA Board of Directors and assists with special projects and programs. He has served on the PNBAA Safety Day committee since its inception.

David’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2011.

David is currently the Chief Flight Instructor for the Crest Airpark FAA approved Flight School, is serving as the commander of the Washington Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, and is an aviation consultant. He is also an FAA aviation safety volunteer FAASTeam Representative.

David has been engaged in the general aviation industry for over 35 years. Previously he worked for the FAA for over 27 years as an Air Traffic Controller and an Aviation Safety Inspector, retiring in January 2006. David was then employed by SkyCorp Executive Charters of Paine Field, WA as the Assistant Director of Operations and a FAR 135 Check Pilot. He is rated to fly all categories of aircraft; airplane, rotorcraft, glider and balloon, and holds CE-500 and RA-390S type ratings. David is a graduate of Big Bend Community College and Central Washington University.


Kristi Ivey

Director, ex officio
Kristi serves in a non-voting position on the PNBAA Board of Directors as NBAA liaison.

Kristi’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2011.

Kristi Ivey joined the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in 2007 as Northwest Regional Representative covering the states of Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Prior to joining NBAA, Kristi was the Flight Operations Supervisor for The Home Depot Aviation Department in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an instrument-rated private pilot, with an aircraft dispatcher’s license, and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Auburn University.

Kristi currently serves as NBAA liaison for other Regional Business Aviation Groups in the Northwest such as Pacific Rim Schedulers & Dispatchers Association, Utah Business Aviation Association, Idaho Business Aviation Association, and North Dakota Business Aviation Association. She is a frequent speaker at state aviation and airport management conferences, and currently serves as Secretary of the Montana Pilots Association Gallatin Valley Hangar chapter.


SmithD. Brinton (Brint) Smith

Director, Membership Chair
Brint’s primary position on the PNBAA Board of Directors is coordinating and communicating with candidate and current members. This role includes assisting with or leading special projects, programs and subcommittees where membership is involved.

Brint’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2010.

He is a Vice President, Aviation of John F. Throne & Co. Insurance Marketing, Inc., a Seattle-based aviation insurance broker.

Brint’s clients include members of the Forbes 400, corporations and charter / management companies seeking highly customized and competitively-priced insurance programs for personal asset protection and liability insulation. He has also represented professional sports teams, passenger and cargo airlines, museums, flight-schools, fixed-base operators, fixed and rotor-wing commercial operators, airports, and manufacturers. John F. Throne & Co. has been a nationally recognized leader in commercial and business aviation for over 50 years.

With more than 20 years in the industry, Brint is a member of the NBAA’s Tax Committee, chairing their Aviation Insurance Working Group. He is a single-engine rated, private pilot; holds the Associate in Risk Management designation; speaks frequently on aviation risk and insurance topics; and has authored several technical articles.


WarnerDavid D. Warner

Director and General Counsel
David serves on PNBAA’s Board as a Director and as chief legal officer.

David’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2012.

David is Chair of the Lane Powell PC Aviation Practice Group, a leading Pacific Northwest law firm headquartered in Seattle with offices in Washington, Portland, Alaska and London, England. He focuses his practice on aviation law and frequently advises clients on aircraft acquisition, disposition, operation, leasing and financing. In addition, David also has extensive experience in business and securities law, mergers & acquisitions, securities regulation, finance and community banking. In the nearly 30 years he has been practicing law, he has represented clients ranging from start-ups to large public companies and has considerable experience advising the Board of Directors. He is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

David is an active participant in Bar and trade association groups. In addition to serving on our Board, he serves on the Board of Directors and is General Counsel to the National Aircraft Finance Association. He is a frequent speaker at aviation-related seminars around the country.


StoutD. Darwin Stout

Director/Maintenance Committee Chairman
Darwin’s serves as Chair of the Maintenance Committee. The maintenance committee provides aviation maintenance professionals in the Northwest Region with an avenue to network with one another, expand their knowledge with training, and grow together to be a more cohesive group. These responsibilities also include serving on various committees that support the PNBAA and associated organizations.

Darwin’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2012.

Darwin is currently serving as National Sales Manager for Gulfstream Aerospace and General Dynamics Aviation Services, an Original Equipment Manufacturer and Aircraft Services business.

Darwin has been engaged in the business and general aviation industry for over 22 years holding a variety of engineering, management and sales positions with Beech Aircraft, Learjet/Bombardier and Gulfstream. Darwin currently travels throughout the Pacific Northwest region visiting corporate flight departments with various corporate aircraft to generate business for the Gulfstream/GDAS Service Center network. Darwin previously worked in Product Support Engineering at both Beech Aircraft and Learjet. His Airframe and Power-plant rating, combined with engineering degree allowed him to get involved in many interesting projects. Darwin has also worked with the FAA and NTSB on some accident investigations while at Learjet. He holds an Aviation Safety Certificate from the University of Southern California. Darwin holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee, an Airframe and Power-plant rating, along with a Private Pilot rating.


KegleyCharles (Chuck) Kegley III

Director of Legislative Affairs
Chuck oversees the activities surrounding the legislative and government affairs for PNBAA .He works with State, Regional and Local Legislators to support the numerous aviation and airport land use issues that affect the PNBAA members and other associated aviation organizations.

Chucks’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2010.

Chuck is president Advanced Aviation Services, Inc., a Seattle based aviation Consulting and Service Company. He started his aviation consulting service company in 2002. Chuck has extensive experience developing and implementing safety management programs for his corporate flight department customers. He provides start-up program services for new and expanding flight departments of various operational profiles.

Chuck is a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of aviation experience. While employed by Boeing Military Aircraft Co he worked on various military development programs. He returned to the FBO industry in 1991 as General Manager of Flightcraft, Inc in Seattle. He has held similar management positions in the FBO industry and corporate flight departments around the Puget Sound for 25 years.


RobertsonLance Robertson

Director
Lance’s position on the PNBAA Board of Directors is one that assists in the development of special projects and programs. These responsibilities include serving on various committees that support the PNBAA and associated organizations.

Lance’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2012.

Lance is currently Chief Pilot for the Nordstrom Flight Department base on Boeing Field, Seattle Washington.

Lance has been a professional pilot for 25 + years with 17,000 + hours. Previously, Lance served as Chief Flight Instructor for a Part 141 flight school has flown as a domestic and international crewmember for Part 135 and Part 121 airlines and he currently flies for a Part 91 corporate flight department operating amphibious DHC-2 MKIIIs, PC12s, CE560, CL30, and CL604s.


StillwellJeff Stillwell

Director
Jeff’s position on the board is one of at large for participating on any special project and has been on the planning committee for the Safety Day event the past two years as well as the annual Golf Charity Event. Jeff is currently a captain with Aspen Management LLC, a hotel construction and management company, on their Falcon 50 based in Bremerton WA.

Jeff’s position on the board is up for term renewal in the Fall of 2011.

Jeff has been in Business Aviation for over 27 years holding the position as Chief Pilot or Department Manager for 18 of those 27 years.

Jeff also spent four years as the General Manager of Flightcenter FBO, now Clay Lacy-BFI. Jeff is Type Rated in Challenger 604, Embraer Legacy 600, Citation X, Citation 500 series, Hawker 700 and Falcon 50 and has over 9000 accident free hours.


WernerWayne Werner

Wayne Werner is currently Assistant General Manager for Clay Lacy Aviation in Seattle. In this position he is responsible for the day to day operations of the company. Prior to joining Clay Lacy Wayne had his own aircraft sales business in Boise, Idaho. Wayne was the President of Sun Valley Aviation in Sun Valley Idaho from April 1982 till Nov. 2003. Prior to Sun Valley he was with Mitsubishi Aircraft in 1981-1982. Wayne grew up in his family FBO in Casper, WY. And ran the company from 1972 – 1976 with his brother. Wayne’s family owned Casper Air Service for 48 yrs till his brother sold the business in 1998. Wayne Is an Airline Transport Rated pilot with Lear, Westwind and Citation type ratings. He also holds a Gold Seal Flight Instructor Rating for Instrument and Multi engine.

Wayne has been with NBAA member companies for over 40 yrs. He was a founding member of the Idaho Business Aviation Association. He has been an AOPA member for 45 yrs. Wayne was a member of the Boise Idaho Airport Commission for 15 yrs. Wayne was appointed to the King County Airport Roundtable as the Corporate Tenant Representative in June 2011.


Don Bonta

Don is the current Director Corporate Flight Operations for Nike, Inc. headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon.

Don joined Nike in 1997. During his tenure the department has grown to include 3 jets (2 GV’s and a Falcon 2000EX) based in a beautiful hangar located on the Portland-Hillsboro airport (KHIO). Nike’s operations are world-wide in support of their Senior Leadership Team’s focus on growth and shareholder return. Immediately prior to Nike, he was Executive Vice President of Flightcraft, Inc. for nearly 18-years leading aircraft sales and flight operations at Portland, OR (KPDX). Don is also a member of the Gulfstream G650 customer advisory team.

Don is type rated in the GV, GIV, Falcon 2000, HS-125, BE-400, CE-500 & 525, LR Jet, BE-2000, BE-300/ 1900 with more than 14,000 flight hours. Don graduated from Evergreen State College in 1985 with a B.A. in management.

Don and his wife, Gayle, live in Vancouver, Washington.
